Evo-Stik NPL Fair Play Awards

Lancaster City picked up where they left off last season when they collected the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's inaugural First Division North Fair Play Award.

After winning the division's overall accolade for good behaviour in 2012 and leading last season's competition until the final month of the campaign before being overtaken by Clitheroe, the Dolly Blues are out in front again after winning the combined award for August and September.

Currently sixth in the table and with games in hand on many of the sides above and around them, their efforts to show that teams can win the right way paid off again before their 2-1 victory over Salford City.

League Representative John Beaumont, second left, is pictured at the Giant Axe making the presentation to Head Coach Darren Peacock, Secretary Barry Newsham and players' representative Glenn Steel.

Peacock's men headed the table with a disciplinary average of 0.88 for their record of seven yellows from eight outings. Farsley AFC were second in the divisional table with Ossett Town close behind in third spot.

All three of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's inaugural Fair Play winners have now picked up their honours after Skelmersdale United and Eastwood Town were named at the start of the month alongside the Dolly Blues as the Premier Division and First Division South winners respectively.

The Evo-Stik NPL's Respect Manager Phil Bradley was at the West Lancashire College Stadium to reward Skelmersdale before their 4-3 win over Blyth Spartans. Promoted Skem came out on top after picking up just four yellow cards in 10 fixtures, giving Tommy Lawson's side an average of just 0.40 disciplinary points.

League Representatives Mark Ogley and his father Alan Ogley made the presentation to Eastwood Town at Coronation Park before the Badgers took on Coalville Town. Eastwood topped the First Division South table with a disciplinary average of 0.56 for their single dismissal and two yellows since the opening day of the campaign.
