Familiar foes drawn together again

By David Watters

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Stourbridge will host Kidderminster Harriers again this season after drawing their near neighbours in Monday lunchtime's draw for the first round proper of the FA Trophy.

After beating the National League outfit 3-0 in the fourth and final qualifying of the FA Cup in September, the Premier Division's Glassboys will be hoping to record a cup double at the War Memorial Athletic Ground on Saturday 12 December.

Eleven EVO-STIK NPL clubs went into the hat at Wembley with the winners of the 32 ties scheduled set to collect £5000 in prize money.

If Skelmersdale United can overcome Chorley when they replay on Tuesday night, Tommy Lawson's side can look forward to a trip to AFC Fylde, another former EVO-STIK NPL club. Stocksbridge Park Steels, 2-1 victors at last season's FA Trophy winners North Ferriby United at the weekend, were rewarded with another away trip, this time to National League Gateshead.

Nantwich Town and Matlock Town were drawn together in the only all EVO-STIK NPL tie before the outcomes of this week's replays are taken account while Sutton Coldfield Town will host Barrow as their reward for knocking out Stalybridge Celtic at the weekend.
