Fans bidding for charity chance

By David Watters

EVO-STIK League Trafford are auctioning off the chance to turn out for Tom Baker's side in a charity fundraising match.

Fans have been bidding since last week for two berths in a Trafford Select XI taking on a TV All Stars XI during a family fun day at Shawe View on Sunday (August 20).

Sponsored by Jet2Holidays and kicking off at 2pm, organisers are also auctioning off the chance for one supporter to take his place on the touchline alongside Baker as his assistant manager.

A spokesman said: "Get bidding for this great chance to manage a footy team - help give the team talk, discuss tactics, shout from the dug out!"

The turnstiles at the EVO-STIK League North club's newly sponsored First Point Shawe View Stadium open at 12pm with tickets priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for children.
