Fans on alert for pitch inspections

By David Watters

EVO-STIK League fans should check for the latest news on pitch inspections before travelling on Saturday with a number planned after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for ice in many areas.

With a full programme scheduled in all three divisions and freezing overnight conditions as far south as Staffordshire, Stalybridge Celtic are holding the first inspection at 9am with Grantham Town due to set off from Lincolnshire for their EVO-STIK League Premier Division meeting.

Sleet and snow is forecast in some areas and clubs already planning 10.30am inspections on Friday for waterlogged and frozen surfaces included Gresley, Ossett Albion and Kidsgrove Athletic.

For the latest news on inspections, follow the EVO-STIK League's social media channels and check for officially confirmed updates on the fixtures pages of the official website.
