Dundas, pictured, and assistant Wayne Brotherton left Wincham Park following the club's fifth defeat in 10 league outings. Appointed in the summer, former Stafford Rangers player Dundas guided the now-defunct Norton United to league, league cup and FA cup success in recent seasons.
Head of recruitment Paul Ogden, a former manager at Northwich Vics, Leek Town and Witton, will take temporary charge on Saturday for the visit of Ossett Albion in the FA Trophy's Preliminary Round.
A club statement said: “We would like to thank Scott and Wayne for their efforts on the club’s behalf. Whilst it is acknowledged that it takes time for a new team to settle, the board believe that performances, if not results, should have been much better with a top four playing budget.
"Attendances have fallen by half since the opening day of the season and it was felt that a change at this point was required.”
