After being reunited as footballers last summer when Ben joined his brother Chris at Throstle Nest having never played competitively together before, the midfielders are celebrating success for the Atkinson family with Warley Cricket Club.
Pictured together on Sunday, 26-year-old Chris, left, and his younger brother Ben, 22, donned their whites to win the Halifax Parish Cup for the amateur club with two teams competing in the Halifax Cricket League.
Farsley's fans have enjoying seeing the sporting brothers combining on the pitch in the Northern Premier League's top flight since Ben joined Adam Lakeland's squad in June 2017 after starring for Brighouse Town while on loan from Curzon Ashton.
A youth player with Huddersfield Town's academy for 12 years, the younger Atkinson was also reunited with Lakeland after working with him at Curzon Ashton. His former Bradford City, Chesterfield, Crewe Alexandra, Huddersfield Town and Tranmere Rovers-playing sibling originally arrived at the EVO-STIK League Premier Division club on a loan deal from National League Salford City the previous season.
Farsley retweeted the pictured of their triumph on social media, @FarsleyCelticFC tweeting: "Congratulations to Farsley’s @benaky10 and @chrisaky31 who won the Halifax Parish Cup with @WarleyCC yesterday! #OneClub"
