Prince, pictured, left First Division North Cables after their third successive defeat of the new season, the 4-0 home reverse at the hands of Glossop North End following on from a 6-0 midweek home drubbing from Witton Albion and a 4-1 opening day defeat at Clitheroe.
The former Torquay United, Stalybridge Celtic, Hyde United, Southport, Marine, Droylsden, Skelmersdale United and Vauxhall Motors midfielder, pictured, succeeded Dave Powell last summer after guiding Bootle to their first Liverpool Senior Cup success in more than a hundred years as player-manager in May 2012.
Along with his assistants Neil Black and John O’Toole who've also left, the 32-year-old was thanked for his services on Sunday in a statement confirming the appointment of Gibiliru as his immediate successor while the club's officials considers their options.
A spokesman said: "The club would like to thank Neil, Neil Black and John O’Toole for all the hard work they have put in, and wish them well for the future.
"Joe Gibiliru will be taking over as caretaker manager and an announcement regarding the manager’s position in the long term will be made in due course."
