Spartans moved two points in front of the Dabbers after increasing Marine AFC`s relegation worries with a 2-0 success. Dan Maguire gave the visitors a 25th minute lead that Michael Richardson eventually doubled 11 minutes from time.
Workington AFC moved into fourth spot after securing a 2-0 win against Buxton at a wild and windy Silverlands.
Joe McGee put the Reds in front after 17 minutes but they weren`t able to relax until injury-time at the end of the match when Gareth Arnison finally made it 2-0.
Ashton United pushed into sixth spot, a point behind fifth-placed Darlington 1883, after a comfortable 3-0 win at Hurst Cross against mid-table Sutton Coldfield Town.

Alex Tomkinson gave the Canaries a 10th minute lead that Jamie Towers doubled just four minutes later. Liam Needham reduced the arrears right on half-time but a penalty in stoppage time from Anthony Carney prevented a Gladiators` comeback.
Second-bottom Stamford AFC moved themselves to within two points of the two teams above them but are still five points from the safety-mark after a 1-0 win at out-of-form Mickleover Sports, Jake Duffy scoring the Daniels` winner just shy of the hour-mark.
