The EVO-STIK League Premier Division club signed the 19-year-old former Bolton Wanderers stopper on Tuesday with first choice goalkeepers Fabian Speiss and Kristian Burzynski both ruled out of the Emirates FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at the Weaver Stadium with injury.
Jaaskelainen, pictured, is the son of Finnish international Jussi Jaaskelainen who made 529 appearances in 15 seasons at Bolton and also played for West Ham and Wigan Athletic. The stopper, pictured, was on loan at Loughborough Dynamo in EVO-STIK League South in September after arriving from Bolton in the summer. Before signing, he was watched by Dabbers boss David Cooke at Gresty Road on Monday in an U23 Professional Development League fixture.
A Dabbers statement read: "With current keepers's Fabian Spiess and Kristian Burzynski set to miss the cup tie through injuries, Dave Cooke has been quick in capturing the Crewe keeper ahead of Saturday. The highly-rated stopper joins from the Alex for a month's loan and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie against Kettering Town."
