The Dolly Blues, who have won the overall season awards for the last two years plus being named as the FA’s Respect and Fair Play award national winner for all clubs at Steps 1-4 in May, showed their standards haven’t slipped when they edged out Woodley Sports in the First Division North award. Both clubs had just two cautions in six games and it came down to Technical Area marks to split the pair with Lancaster being given five “Excellent” and one “Good” marks whilst Woodley received two “Excellent”, three “Good” and one “Satisfactory” marks.
Lancaster City received their award of a 1.5 litre bottle of Famous Grouse Whiskey prior to the kick off of their home FA Cup tie against Maine Road on the 17th September.
