Teenage striker Ashley Hunter has become the latest player to earn a move to the Football League from EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Ilkeston FC.

The 18-year-old, pictured, rolled off the Robins production line on Monday to join League One Fleetwood Town for what the Premier Division club's officials have described as a "sizeable" fee with a sell-on clause.

Hunter was snapped up on contract by the club in the summer after he was released by Burton Albion and he wrote to Robins manager Kevin Wilson asking for a trial at the New Manor Ground.

As Hunter stepped up to follow in the footsteps of Che Adams and Kieran Wallace who switched to Sheffield United earlier in the season, the club also announced the signing of another player who'll be hoping to burnish their reputation, former Arsenal player Arinse Uade.

The 19-year-old has recently been playing with Finnish side SJK who featured in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League. Mainly a left-sided defender, he will go straight into the first team squad.

In a statement announcing the deals, manager Kevin Wilson assured fans that everything was being done to improve the club's prospects and that his careful selection process would continue.

He said: "We have a vision here and I believe in what we are doing. We are going to keep building and keep improving. We have got other exciting signings in the pipeline and I understand people want us to keep moving forward, as I do."

"He [Hunter] is always on the move and is dangerous. He will never let defenders rest and has good movement. We have rehabilitated him and he has progressed well."

Derby County were among several Championship and League One clubs who were reported to be following Uade's progress after he left Arsenal where he had been training since the age of nine.

Of his new signing, Wilson added: "Arinse has a good pedigree and it will be exciting to see him play. Once he gets international clearance, he will get a game."
