Chorley manager Garry Flitcroft is urging fans to turn out in force at Victory Park this season to back his side’s Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign after the Magpies announced they’d frozen both season ticket and turnstile prices.

Flitcroft, pictured, who guided his side to a winning start to the new Premier Division campaign on Saturday with a 3-1 victory at newcomers Barwell, insists supporters can play a key role after assembling what he describes as his best ever Magpies squad.

Chorley host Ashton United on Tuesday in their opening home fixture followed by Whitby Town on Saturday and Flitcroft said: "The squad we have assembled excites me as it is, in my mind, the best squad of players I have had during my time with the Magpies. The squad of 20 players is strong all over the park and we have a big ambition to get out of this league and play at higher levels.

"We kicked off with a superb win at Barwell on the opening day. All the lads did me and the travelling supporters proud as I'm sure they will all season. This season is special for the club in that we are celebrating 130 years of football in the town and we need our fans support too.

"The fan base we have at the club is magnificent and I know a lot is said about the ‘12th man’ but they can really make a difference. We want to make Victory Park a fortress and I hope they will not only come to as many games as they can, but spread the word to their friends and work colleagues too."

The club announced at the weekend that season ticket prices for adults have been frozen at last year’s price of £170 with concessionary rates reduced to just £90. With an additional two home fixtures due to the top flight's expansion to 24 clubs, Chorley say they are delighted that all season ticket holders are getting 'more for less' over the coming campaign.

They have also introduced a new season ticket for students and young adults priced at £50 and frozen the rates for all junior Magpies tickets. In addition, Chorley’s flexible family season ticket offers further savings with a built in discount of 15 per cent plus other benefits.
