Foster brings back second former star

Popular defender Danny Wisdom has returned to Kendal Town 18 months after following former manager Lee Ashcroft to Evo-Stik Northern Premier League rivals Northwich Victoria.

The full-back and firm fans` favourite was at Parkside Road for four seasons before following Ashcroft to the Vics in November 2012. He originally joined Kendal after stints at Blackpool and Morecambe.

Mintcakes manager Dave Foster made Wisdom his second signing of the summer, pictured, following full-back Kieran Walmsley’s return to the First Division North club last week.

Formerly with Morecambe and Fleetwood Town, Walmsley helped Chorley win promotion as the Evo-Stik NPL’s Premier Division champions in April after being sold by the Cumbrians to the Magpies for an undisclosed fee in June 2012.
