Friendly offer to top opponents

By David Watters

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Marine are looking for tough opponents to fill a key date in their preseason calendar.

Officials at the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division’s Mariners say they are hoping to welcome a North West-based representative from the Football League or National League to the Marine Travel Arena on Saturday 30 July.

Marine chairman Paul Leary said: “We have two great home friendlies arranged with Southport on the 16th July and Chester the following Saturday and we had hoped to arrange a further high profile game on the 30th but so far have not been successful.

“I therefore invite clubs who for some reason have no game on that day either to contact us to see if we can get a match arranged. Any club interested in visiting us should contact our secretary Richard Cross in the first instance via email at richard@marinefc.com."
