Radcliffe Borough fan Liam Mellon is hoping to attract a few late sponsors among fellow Evo-Stik Northern Premier League supporters before peddling around half of Lancashire for Sport Relief on Sunday.
The regular at the First Division North club's Stainton Park, along with thousands of other fundraisers, will be cycling 50 miles around Manchester after setting off from outside Old Trafford in the Sport Relief 2014 Cycle to boost the charity’s bi-annual campaign for those in need in the UK and abroad.
He said: "I’m challenging myself for Sport Relief 2014 to raise cash that will help to change lives, both here in the UK and abroad.
"If you could sponsor me, I’d be really grateful as your generosity really will help to make a world of difference to people living incredibly tough lives."
