Fylde announce BAE partnership

Company become Coasters' community partners

AFC Fylde have secured BAE Systems as its Official Community Partner in a two year sponsorship deal.

The partnership will enable AFC Fylde to grow their community programme in more local primary and secondary schools, and grow the support for the club’s ‘Fans of the Future’ scheme which offers schools and local sports clubs free family tickets to designated games. There will also be a designated Family Block in the Main Stand at club’s Kellamergh Park ground.

Martin Booker, AFC Fylde Business Development Manager, said: “We are delighted that a company of BAE Systems standing has chosen to support our community activities. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help the Club drive forward its activities in the community. With this support we can make the scheme bigger and better over the next two years by employing more coaches and giving schools some excellent community benefits as a result of this partnership.”

Paul Earnshaw, Head of Public Affairs for BAE Systems added: “BAE Systems is delighted to become AFC Fylde’s first community partner. The activities the Club is putting in place to engage with the local community and encourage youngsters to develop their skills is something we can really relate to. Hopefully by helping the club’s community programme go from strength to strength we’ll encourage children to lead a healthy lifestyle, and you never know we may help them discover the next Wayne Rooney!”

The club is currently coaching over 400 children every week in curriculam time and through after schools clubs around the Fylde and last season the club distributed over 2500 family tickets to home matches.
