Gateshead offer Marwood on loan

Conference Premier Gateshead want to secure a loan deal for winger James Marwood with an Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club.

The quicksilver wide man, pictured, came through the ranks at Newcastle United and is the son of former Arsenal, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday winger Brian Marwood.

After his release from Newcastle, he had brief spells at Blyth Spartans and Northern League club Team Northumbria before linking up with Gateshead in 2010. Last season he enjoyed a successful loan spell at FC Halifax Town and has made over 60 appearances for Gateshead to date.
