Matlock Town Chairman Tom Wright believes the Gladiators will be offering better value than ever to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's fans during the coming campaign after freezing tickets prices.

The Premier Division outfit announced on Monday that matchday tickets have been frozen at £9 for adults and £5.50 for concessions. Children aged 15 and under accompanied by an adult will pay just £2 at the turnstiles.

Fans taking advantage of the club's £150 'Early Bird' season ticket offer can also make substantial savings. With the two extra games generated by the division's expansion to 24 teams in August, adult entry to home league games drops to £6.52 a game.

Season tickets for concessions purchased before 1 August are priced at £92 or £4 per game. Adult tickets purchased after that date rise to £160 with concessions up to £98.

Wright said: "We feel this represents excellent value for our supporters and a real incentive to purchase a season ticket."

In team news, manager Mark Atkins is busy assembling his squad for the new campaign and has called his players back for pre-season training on June 25.

Atkins, who hopes supporters will see some new faces in his revamped squad, said: "I'm looking and talking to players but we'll announce new signings when they've signed on the dotted line."
