Goalkeeper joins Bamber Bridge on emergency loan

Bamber Bridge have announced the signing of young Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Ellis Litherland-Riding on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

Litherland-Riding has been part of the Bolton youth setup since U9s level and signed his first professional deal with the club in June 2022.

Prior to signing that deal, the young shot-stopper impressed during a loan stint with NWCFL side Lower Breck.

He has also featured heavily for the Wanderers' B team in recent seasons but will now link up with the Brig for their remaining Northern Premier League fixtures.

On-loan Preston North End goalkeeper James Pradic has been their number one for much of the season, making 37 appearances in all competitions.

Aidan Hunt came in for his fourth appearance of the season against FC United of Manchester earlier this month, but a first-half red card which triggered a suspension has forced the club to seek fresh options.

Litherland-Riding made his Brig debut during Saturday's 3-2 home win against Whitby Town - a result which consolidated their mid-table position ahead of the final weekend.
