Hatswell moves for Hempenstall

Stamford AFC manager Wayne Hatswell reckons new signing Jordan Hempenstall will have no problems adjusting to life at Kettering Road after his signing from Lincoln United on Monday.

The player, pictured, can play out wide or up front and comes with a wealth of experience of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division South having played a major part in the White's campaign this season.

Daniels manager Hatswell said: "Jordan is a player we've been looking at through Staffy [Assistant manager, David Staff]. He's been playing very well for Lincoln and has impressed whenever he has played against Stamford. He gives us a few options and he's technically good with both feet so he's a positive signing for us.

"I know the Lincoln United manager, Terry Fleming, very well from my playing days and he was devastated to be losing him. But Terry obviously understood that, like most managers in this league, you're only seven days away from losing your best players. We wanted to take that opportunity to benefit Stamford."

He added: "Jordan knows the level, he knows what he is coming up against, and has done very well in the league. He's a player that should just slot in with the lads."
