Hebburn make four new signings

Hebburn Town have made their first moves of the summer, bringing in three mainstays from Morpeth Town and a new goalkeeper.

New boss Daniel Moore has returned to former club Shildon to sign ‘keeper Shaun Newbrook, who played more than 150 games for the club in four seasons.

Heading the list of signings from Morpeth is striker Liam Henderson.

Henderson, 32, scored 77 goals in 217 appearances for the Highwaymen and scored 14 last season.

His departure was announced by the Craik Park club recently.

Following him to Hebburn are team-mates Joe Walton and Wayne Phillips.

Winger Walton was another with more than 200 appearances for Morpeth, while Phillips played alongside Hebburn boss Moore at Spennymoor Town, lifting the 2013 FA Vase.
