Warrington Town

Warrington Town have brought fans favourite Chris Gahgan back to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Cantilever Park.

The First Division North's Wire announced the striker's return on Tuesday and say Gahgan, pictured, their leading scorer during the 2008-09 campaign with 33 goals, can't wait for the new season to start.

The former Northwich Victoria and Bradford Park Avenue frontman believes he still has many more years of football left in the tank and is looking forward to a fresh start after a season out of the game.

The 28-year-old, who spent three seasons at Warrington between 2008 and 2011 before moving to Witton Albion where he was a member of their promotion winning side, said: "It is great to be back and I am made up. I have had a season out of the game but feel in great shape and I am looking forward to a fresh challenge.

"I can’t wait for the season to start and look forward to scoring in front of the Warrington fans again."

Manager Shaun Reid is delighted to have captured Gahgan’s signature and added: "He is a quality player and a great signing for the club."
