The highly-rated striker signed for the Cod Army on Wednesday for an undisclosed fee after scoring 40 goals in the last 18 months for the EVO-STK NPL's top flight leaders.
He told Fleetwood Town's website: “I am absolutely delighted to sign for Fleetwood Town and I cannot wait to get started. This is an excellent chance for me to make the step-up into League football, and the facilities and people at Fleetwood Town made my decision easy."
The 21-year-old, pictured signing his pro contract after impressing during a trial at the League One club before Christmas, is a product of Aston Villa’s youth academy and spells at Walsall and in Sweden before returning to the UK with Solihull Moors.
Quick, skillful and with an eye for goal, Reid arrived at Dales Lane in February 2015 and made an immediate impact by bagging a brace on his debut. In his first full season for the club, he notched 26 goals in all competitions and has 14 goals to his name this term after playing a key role in their current success.
A club spokesman said: "We thank Alex for his excellent service with The Pics and wish him well in this new chapter in his football career."
The striker isn't the first player to join the Cod Army from the EVO-STIK NPL. Just two years ago Fleetwood Town signed Ashley Hunter from Ilkeston FC, now one of the hottest attacking prospects in League One.
