Is Bramall next for big time?

Hednesford Town defender Cohen Bramall is being tipped to become the next EVO-STIK Northern Premier League star to turn pro.

After Rushall Olympic hot-shot Alex Reid secured a move to the Football League with Fleetwood Town on Wednesday, the sought-after Bramall, pictured, is expected to sign for Premier League giants Arsenal within days after impressing Arsene Wenger while on trial before Christmas.

The BBC and a number of national papers and media organisations reported on Thursday that the 20-year-old is set to sign a two and half year contract to offer competition for Gunners left-backs Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs.

Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday have also been following the progress of Bramall who will follow in the footsteps of another Pitmen graduate to the big time if he signs, Everton and Wales defender Ashley Williams.

Bramall, who's worked at the Bentley car factory in Crewe and a clothes shop, was also a successful sprinter with Nantwich AC. Before joining the Pitmen, he spent a short spell at their EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division rivals Nantwich Town.
