Stamford AFC striker Jorrin John is set to miss the club's EVO-STIK Northern Premier League clash at the Zeeco Stadium on Saturday against Frickley Athletic as he'll be in Slovenia hoping to win a contract with NK Domzale.
The Daniels announced on Tuesday that the 24-year-old is travelling to central Europe on Friday for a trial with the club who currently head the country's top league, the PrvaLiga.
NK Domzale, who are on their winter break and not back in action until 21 February, have won both the Slovenian League and the Slovenian Supercup twice and the Slovenian Cup once.
The Antigua and Barbuda player has made six appearances for the Daniels this season, scoring once in the 2-2 draw with Nantwich. After playing in last Saturday's 2-1 win at Buxton, Daniels manager David Staff now expects to be without John for a number of upcoming games.
John has also turned out for Nuneaton, Corby Town, Nonthaburi, Suphanburi and Leicester City.
