The 31-year-old striker, pictured, is set to team up again with former FC United stars Jerome Wright, Dean Stott and Greg Daniel after Rams boss Mark Fell agreed a dual registration deal with the National League North club on Monday.
The Bradford-born hit-man enjoyed an illustrious career in Non-League with spells at Bradford Park Avenue, Guiseley and Garforth before joining FC United in 2012 and going on to score 94 goals in 235 appearances for the Rebels.
The fans' favourite was allowed to switch with his game time limited at Broadhurst Park so far this season and Rams boss Fell reckons he knows exactly what he’s getting from the experienced frontman.
Fell told supporters in a club statement: “Tom is a top class player. He needs to be playing games at this point in his career and enjoying his football and I think we can give him a platform to do both. He’s already well known to a lot of our lads so will integrate well in the dressing room. My thanks go to Karl Marginson for allowing the dual registration and hopefully it can be to the benefit of both clubs.”
In other transfer news, winger Aaron Fleming has left the club to join Colne FC. The 22-year-old arrived at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium in the summer after spending last season at Bamber Bridge but was unable to break into the first team after a suspension carried over from last term. "Aaron leaves with our best wishes," said a club spokesman.
