Hot-shot returns on loan

Stafford Rangers

Stafford Rangers manager Greg Clowes has brought prolific marksman Michael Lennon back to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League on a month's loan from Hednesford Town.

Lennon, pictured, has struggled to nail down a starting berth at the Pitmen so far this season following their promotion as Evo-Stik NPL Play-Off winners in May and signed in time for Tuesday night's 3-2 defeat by Barwell at Marston Road.

The 32-year-old, who counts Conwy United, Colwyn Bay, Spennymoor United, Newcastle Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Nantwich Town among his former clubs, arrived at the Pitmen's Keys Park from Stafford's Premier Division rivals Nantwich Town in May 2012.

Lennon kicked off his career as a trainee at Middlesbrough before moving to the North Midlands to take up a teaching position. He has scored more than 100 goal for Hednesford Town.

Rangers go in search of their first point again on Saturday when they host Trafford.
