Hot-shot set for Dabbers debut

Nantwich Town manager Danny Johnson has added hot-shot Steve Foster to his Evo-Stik Northern Premier League squad.

The prolific marksmen, pictured, arrived at the Weaver Stadum from Witton Albion this week and could make his debut against Barwell in the Premier Division on Saturday.

Johnson is hoping his new striker can help turn around Nantwich’s current slide of three successive league defeats.

He said: "I'm really pleased to announce the signing of Steve Foster. I’m sure all Dabbers supporters will join me in welcoming him to the Weaver Stadium.

"The lads' self-confidence has been hit a little over the last few weeks with a couple of defeats but we’ll be ready. We’ll dust ourselves down and look to put in a competitive show like we’ve been doing.

"We haven’t been far away, we just need the ball to bounce for us or go in off our backsides to scrape a win and I think we’ll be up and running."
