Hot-shot sets sights on next fifty

Leek Town

Leek Town striker Tim Grice is looking forward to netting another 50 goals for the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Blues after notching up his half century.

Grice, pictured, had been stuck on 49 strikes since scoring the winner in their 2-1 FA Cup First Qualifying Round win against Stourport Swifts back on 13 September and reached the milestone in the First Division South club's recent FA Trophy victory at Spalding United.

The 25-year-old arrived at Harrison Park in September 2011 from North West Counties League side Eccleshall and was also on the books of Aston Villa and Stoke City's academy as a youngster.

After finding his opportunities limited in the earlier part of the season by the form of fellow forwards Liam Shotton and Andy Kinsey, the forward was hoping to find the net again for Lee Casswell's side on Tuesday night when they travelled to First Division South rivals Market Drayton Town in the first round of the Doodson Sport Cup.
