Hot-shot switches to Seagulls

Colwyn Bay boss Paul Moore has beaten off interest from several other clubs to secure the signing of centre forward Will Jones from EVO-STIK Northern Premier League rivals Burscough.

Burscough’s top scorer last season in EVO-STIK First Division North has previously turned out for Marine and Warrington.

Moore, pictured on shaking the deal with the hot-shot at Llanelian Road, said: “Its another big signing for the club. He is a big, strong centre forward who scored 20 goals last season and we beat off some good competition from clubs in the league above us to get him.

“I am very pleased with his capture. We now have Rhys Bowers and Will Jones who can both lead the line up front and can be a real handful for teams to defend against."

The Seagulls have also signed 20-year-old midfielder Chris Bibby from Warrington Town. Bibby captained Warrington's reserves to promotion last season and his performances earned him a call-up to the Wire's title-winning first team late in the campaign.
