Worksop Town

Worksop Town striker Massiah McDonald is moving to Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division rivals Matlock Town permanently while Jamie Jackson has returned to Sandy Lane.

Worksop announced on Tuesday that following negotiations between Tigers Club secretary Keith Ilett and Matlock secretary Keith Brown, McDonald will become a Gladiators player in the New Year after agreement was reached to extend his loan period at Causeway Lane until the end of December.

A Worksop spokesman said: "Worksop Town would like to thank Massiah for his service to the club and wish him well in the future."

Popular striker Jackson is back on a month's loan with Tigers manager Simon Clark until December 23. Last season's leading scorer left to join Bradford Park Avenue in the summer and is guaranteed a warm welcome from travelling Worksop fans if he plays in Friday night's Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division clash at Frickley Athletic.

Jackson is hoping to get his season back on track after sustaining an injury early in the season at Bradford PA and struggling to get into the Conference North side since returning to fitness.
