Junior coaches starting young

Warrington Town

Warrington Town's popular Soccer Saturday Sessions have returned with the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's youth team now lending a hand.

Members of the club's youth side including Tom Everson and Oliver Wells, pictured, the latter the son of Youth Team manager Chris Wells, are helping to run the fun sessions for players aged 4 to 12.

The Evo-Stik NPL First Division North's Wire hope to develop youngsters to play for their junior section while allowing children to have fun and learn about football in a safe environment.

The Saturday Soccer Sessions are priced at £3 and take place on the club's 3G training pitches every weekend from 9am to 10.30pm. Parents are advised to bring plenty of drink for players and ensure the appropriate clothing is worn. Astroturf boots or trainers should be worn along with shin pads.
