Kelly, pictured, told the media his EVO-STIK League North stars have every chance of causing a shock upset against the MK Dons when they kick off at their home against the League One side on BBC 2 at 7.55pm.
Despite the five division gulf between the clubs, the Tigers boss was confident his squad will turn on the style as the BBC's technicians completed installing their equipment and advertisers, including the EVO-STIK League's official pitch partners GreenFields, tested the club's new LED advertising boards for the biggest match in United's history.
Kelly, whose squad are on an unbeaten run of 20 league outings and will run out in front of an expected TV audience of millions in a new Betfred sponsored kit, said: “There’s a great buzz and everything about the club is great. I hope that when we cross that white line, we will give a good account of ourselves and hopefully pull off a cup shock.
"The players can’t wait. Some of the players will probably never reach this stage of the competition or play in this type of atmosphere under the BBC cameras, and we have a lot of young players who will hopefully get a sample of what it’s about.
“I think we have a lot of talented young players in the team, and I think we have a fantastic squad. Everybody’s buzzing, everybody can’t wait, everybody’s ready for it now. I just want them to go and enjoy it, and what will be will be, but it won’t be for the lack of trying."
After suffering three relegations in the last four years, Hyde are expected to bank more than £100,000 from their cup run and Kelly told the Tamesdide Reporter he was delighted with the chance to put the club back on the map for all the right reasons and reward their loyal supporters for never wavering.
He added: "“The supporters and volunteers are absolutely fantastic, and I can’t put into words what they do. They’ve been grafting away but I want to make the point that it hasn’t just been this week, this has been happening since I came in.
“It just goes to show what a great family club it is, and that’s why, personally, I want what’s best for the club and I want to deliver success to the club, because these fantastic volunteers and supporters deserve nothing but the best.”
