Lambs midfielder returns on loan

Midfielder Connor Gudger has joined Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Barwell on a month’s loan from Conference Premier outfit Tamworth.

Gudger, 21, an influential ball winner in the middle of the park who is equally as happy playing in defence, returns to the Premier Division newcomers after playing for the Canaries on loan last term in the Southern League. He joined the Lambs in December 2011.

Barwell have also announced that manager Jimmy Ginnelly has signed Kieron Brehon following his impressive pre-season showing at Kirkby Road. The midfielder was previously with Hinckley United and Bedworth United.

Barwell, who beat Stafford Rangers 3-2 at Marston Road on Tuesday night, travel to Witton Albion on Saturday with both players expected to be in Ginnelly's squad.
