Last eight getting ready to meet

By David Watters

The last eight in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Integro League Challenge Cup are looking forward to meeting next month after the draw was made for the quarter-finals.

EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division Buxton became the last side to book their berth with a 1-0 win over EVO-STIK NPL First Division South Newcastle Town on Tuesday night, a few hours after the draw for the latter stages of the competition was made.

Like last year's winners Marine, the winners of this season's showpiece competition will bank £2000 in prize money with the runners-up collecting £1000. Losing semi-finalists are awarded £500 with losing quarter-finalists earning £250.

The four single-legged encounters are set to take place on consecutive Tuesdays in March - 7th and 14th - with ties to be decided by penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes.

Clitheroe v Scarborough Athletic (March 7)
Grantham Town v Basford United (March 7)
AFC Rushden & Diamonds v Buxton (March 14)
