Leaders doubling up to bring commercial success

By David Watters

Halesowen Town

Halesowen Town’s new commercial team are aiming to match the success of the Yeltz on the pitch this season with rocketing sponsorship and advertising in their next Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign.

The Yeltz, currently leading the race for the First Division South title, are determined to boost commercial revenues next term whatever division they are playing in and have appointed Chris Lambert and Paul Self as their new commercial managers.

Pictured before Saturday’s 3-0 win over Scarborough Athletic at The Grove flanking Town’s Chairman Colin Brookes, Lambert and Self, right, were at the fixture to make an early start on engaging local businesses and organisations as partners to further enhance the Yeltz’s standing in their West Midlands community.

Lambert, who has lived in Halesowen all of his life, is hoping to use his local knowledge and contacts to build up support for the club commercially alongside Self, a music and entertainments promoter. He has also been a fan of the club since his youth, still lives locally and hopes his successful promotions company can help the Yeltz tap into new income streams.
