FA Cup Second Round

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Blyth Spartans and Warrington Town have both hit the FA Cup's TV jackpot.

Blyth's trip to Hartlepool United for an FA Cup North East derby is to be televised live on BBC Two while the Wire's tie at Gateshead will be screened live on BT Sport, banking both clubs a £72,000 television fee.

The Football Association, BBC TV and the satellite broadcaster announced the TV schedules for the FA Cup's Second Round at lunchtime on Wednesday.

League Two Hartlepool United will host Spartans at Victoria Park on Friday 5 December with the tie screened on Match of the Day Live from 7.30pm for a 7.55pm kick-off.

The Premier Division's Spartans dispatched Conference Premier Altrincham with a 4-1 win in the FA Cup's First Round at Croft Park while their League Two opponents beat Ryman League East Thurrock United 2-0 at home.

First Division North Warrington are looking forward to collecting their second TV windfall after millions saw their 1-0 win over League Two Exeter City live on BBC Two last Friday night. The club earned a £67,500 bonus as BBC TV returned to cover the competition for the first time since 2008 and they will bank another £72,000 after their clash was chosen to be broadcast by BT Sport from 12pm on Sunday 7 December.

First Division South Norton United, knocked out by Gateshead, and Blyth, also banked £12,500 in television fees last weekend after their First Round ties were among eight switched to Sunday so they could be shown on a special FA Cup Final Score programme and a later highlights show.
