League recruiting new administrator

The Northern Premier League is looking for a motivated and dependable individual with a desire to build a career in football administration to join its team an Administration Officer.

Founded in 1968 and currently celebrating the end of its 50th anniversary season, the NPL is an FA charter standard competition covering Northern England and the Midlands and comprising 62 semi-professional football clubs from the start of season 2018-19.

Based in the North/North West and initially home-based, the full-time post comes with a salary circa £16,800 to £18,000, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with the League Secretary and other officers in a highly effective team, providing support and guidance to its member clubs. They will also be expected to take on a variety of responsibilities including fixture planning, re-arrangements and player registrations that require good interpersonal, numeracy and IT skills.

An understanding of the NPL's rules and procedures for all types of player registrations and transfers would also be an advantage, although full training will be given. Applicants should also have a sound knowledge and experience of working with social media applications.

Flexibility is a key requirement as the individual will sometimes be required to work outside office hours to meet the day to day operational requirements of the League. Applicants should be car owners with a clean driving licence.
