Loan star signs for leaders

Warrington Town manager Shaun Reid can count on the firepower of striker Aaron Bowen until the end of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign after he signed a permanent deal following a successful one month loan.

Bowen, pictured in action for the Wire following his loan switch from Conference North outfit Barrow in October, played at Cammell Laird last season and also had a brief spell down under with Australian side Shepparton United.

The 22-year-old 6ft 5 striker has been a popular member of the Wire's squad since arriving at Cantilever Park and Warrington say he is delighted to be part of Reid's First Division North promotion push after signing on Friday.

Warrington's Managing Director Toby Macormac said: "We are delighted that Aaron has agreed to join us on a permanent deal and it is another piece in the jigsaw as we continue with our goal of promotion."

Manager Shaun Reid added: "Aaron has settled in well and is a quality addition to the squad. His size and pace always causes problems for defences."

Bowen missed last Saturday's 3-0 win at Farsley while waiting for his paper work to clear but is in contention on Saturday when the league leaders host Mossley.
