Lumsden pulls out of Seadogs move

Striker Joe Lumsden will join Pontefract Collieries, after pulling out of a switch to Scarborough Athletic due to work commitments.

Lumsden, 27, scored 25 goals in 40 appearances for Tadcaster Albion last season and had hoped to make the step up to the Premier Division.

But those plans have been scuppered by a change to his working schedule, which means he won’t be able to play midweek.

Boss John Deacey said: "I spoke to Joe and he said that because of work commitments, which will mean him travelling around the Europe, he won't be able to play in midweek.

"Since then he has joined Pontefract, so he'll just be featuring for them when he's able."
