Macclesfield reveal retained list

Macclesfield have revealed their retained list following the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.

Brandon Lee, Lewis Fensome, Laurent Mendy, Tre Pemberton, Tom Thorpe, Luke Murphy, Mark Duffy, James Hardy, Sam Grimshaw, Alex Curran, James Berry, Neil Kengni and Kane Drummond have all agreed terms for next season, as the Silkmen prepare for life at step three.

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed Brandon Newell, Isaac Abankwah and Leon Arnasalam will link up with the club in pre-season.

Among those to depart, veteran striker Nicky Maynard leaves having made 42 appearances for the Silkmen. Love Island star Tom Clare also confirmed his departure on social media.

Player-coach Neil Danns has also left the club to become Ian Dawes’ assistant at Tranmere Rovers.
