Thanks to the Manchester County FA, Premier Division FC United of Manchester have secured their home fixture versus Kendal Town on the 16th October.
The MCFA had designated w/c 15th October for their First Round of the Manchester Premier Cup. FC United who had only days earlier been at the wrong end of a County Cup tie postponement impacting their home fixture versus Frickley Athletic on the 9th October had the prospect of losing two consecutive midweek games in a schedule that has to dovetail with Bury FC at Gigg Lane.
The Manchester County FA however have agreed to the First Round tie being brought forward a week to the Tuesday [9th Oct] which was left vacant due to Frickley Athletic's County Cup commitments. FC United's opponents Mossley have also no League game on the 9th October so hopefully they will be rewarded with a bumper crowd at Seel Park.
All other Manchester Premier Cup ties involving Evo-Stik League clubs will be played w/c 15th October as league fixtures are already , unlike FC United and Mossley, scheduled the week before.
