Marine defender departs

Marine have announced the departure of defender Lewis Earl, who has been recalled by parent club Chester.

He initially joined the Mariners on a one-month loan in mid-January.

During his time at the Marine Travel Arena, Earl featured six times and scored a dramatic injury-time winner at Belper Town.

The 21-year-old returns to the National League North side with Marine fifth in the Northern Premier League table following Saturday’s 4-2 win at home to Morpeth Town.
