Mariners tee up next golf day

Marine's golf loving players, officials, sponsors and supporters are returning to the West Lancashire Golf Club for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's annual golf day.

The Premier Division Mariners say they are now taking bookings for the event on September 2 at the course in Blundellsands, pictured, one of the ten oldest courses in England, after the success of last year's golfing fundraiser.

Organiser Maurice Broderick said: "The feedback from the 2012 event was all very positive so we have decided to remain at that venue. We are to keep the prices the same as last year and look forward to seeing as many people on the day as possible. If anyone has any questions about the event feel free to contact us."
