Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine are to host one of this season’s FA Carlsberg Sunday Cup semi-finals.
The Premier Division’s Mariners announced on Monday that they’d accepted an invitation from the Football Association to host the clash between the Liverpool-based Oyster Martyrs and Shropshire outfit Plough FC Wellington at the Arriva Stadium on Sunday 16 March.
The game at the Arriva kicks off at 2pm with the other semi-final on the road to Wembley between Hundred Acre FC and Humbledon Plains Farm taking place at Hartlepool United’s Victoria Park.
Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: "I am delighted that the Arriva Stadium has once again been chosen by the Football Association to stage such a prestigious game.
"I’m also looking forward to meeting the officials, players and supporters of Oyster Martyrs and Plough FC on what will be a special day for both clubs and to working with representatives from the Football Association and their sponsorship partner Carlsberg to make sure the day is a huge success for everyone involved."
