Marshall's back, but moves upstairs

Hucknall Town

Former Hucknall Town manager Brett Marshall has been unveiled as the new Chairman of Northern Counties East League Division One club Clipstone Welfare.

Dave Paling, who briefly took over as Chairman at the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Yellows following the resignation of Derek Blow in December, will work alongside Marshall, pictured, as Vice-Chairman.

Marshall, who's also managed Southwell City, Kirkby Town, Blidworth and Retford United, quit Evo-Stik NPL First Division South Hucknall at the end of October after arriving from Retford United in May.

During a turbulent season at Watnall that has left the club currently searching for its fourth manager, Marshall was replaced by Ian Robinson and Gary Sucharewycz.

They left on the same day as Blow before Christmas. Caretaker manager Darren Kelk is currently in charge after taking over last month following the resignation of Jason Truscott.
