The decision to postpone was made shortly before kick-off after it became apparent that some of the lights would not function.
A new date has not yet been set for the fixture.
In a statement posted on social media, the Seasiders said: “Marske United would like to apologise to both sets of players, officials, supporters and match officials for the postponement of tonight’s game due to issues with the floodlights.
“At around 6pm it became apparent that there was a problem with the floodlights, and after further inspection it became clear that this was the result of deliberate and malicious damage.
“We worked hard to resolve the problem and managed to get most of the lights back working, but not to the required standard for the game to go ahead.
“The incident has been reported to the police.”
