Prescot Cables announce double capture

Prescot Cables have confirmed the signing of defender Louis Shead and winger Joe Mwasile.

Shead returns to the club from Bootle following his departure last summer, having spent the start of the season out on loan.

The 20-year-old defender spent a chunk of his playing time with Macclesfield and Tranmere and impressed Kevin Lynch in his short spell with the Cables.

Lynch has also aquired Mwasile from Nantwich Town, a winger with proven ability in the NPL, having played for Warrington Town and Marine, including a short stay at Salford City.

The 29-year-old will certainly bolster Cables’ attack for the upcoming fixtures and could be an important addition for the Merseyside team.

Prescot currently sit in thirteenth going into tonight's game with eight points from their opening six matches of the season.

The club have confirmed that Shead will not be available against Witton, however Mwasile could make an appearance for the Cables.
