Matlock Town have secured their new official shirt sponsor for the new Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division campaign.
Matlock’s new kits will carry the name of East Midlands-based company JP Investment Partners after chairman Tom Wright came to an agreement with the leading alternative asset broker.
The deal was struck after Matlock-based Andrew Hodkin of JP Investments Partners alerted managing director Mike Wright - nephew of Gladiators’ legend Gordon Duggins - that the club was looking for a shirt sponsor. Duggins was a prolific striker who scored 46 goals in one season.
Wright said: “I am delighted and excited at the prospect of JP Investment Partners sponsoring the club where my uncle enjoyed such a happy and successful part of his career.
“I am equally pleased that Andrew Hodkin is going to be involved with the club he’s supported for such a long time."
He added: "I’m sure many supporters already know Andrew and hopefully those that don’t will get to meet him at the events we plan to hold at the club.”
Tom Wright, Matlock Town’s chairman, said: “We’re looking forward to a close relationship with JP Investment Partners over the coming season and delighted at the enthusiasm they have shown for supporting Matlock Town and the local footballing community.”
JP Investment Partners are brokers of premium alternative assets sourced from the UK, Continental Europe and throughout the World.
