McIntosh borrows Silkmen keeper

Buxton

Macclesfield keeper Andrew Mills went straight into Buxton manager Martin McIntosh's squad for Saturday's game against Eastwood Town at Silverlands.

The Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Bucks signed the young keeper from the Conference Premier outfit on Friday on a month's loan as cover for Ian Deakin who is still struggling with a knee injury and fellow stopper Craig Dootson who was recalled from his loan last week by Kendal Town.

Mills played against Buxton at Silverlands in pre-season and has spent the first part of the current campaign at Evo-Stik NPL First Division North New Mills.

McIntosh also signed ex-Rotherham United attacking left-back Jamie Green from Northern Counties East League Division One side Worksop Parramore in time for the weekend's action. Green spent his formative years at Rotherham and holds the honour of being the last United player to score a goal at their former home Millmoor.

He joined Boston United on loan after making sixty-two appearances for the South Yorkshire club before moving on to Grimsby Town in 2011. After suffering an injury set-back at Grimsby, he moved into Non-League football at the start of the current campaign at his local side Rossington Main before signing for Worksop Parramore last month.
